This program includes most of the life functions that a child needs during his day. Examples of this include:
- Dressing process: includes clothes and shoes and the way they are put on and taken off, which the child performs independently and without assistance.
- Personal hygiene: The ability to maintain personal hygiene and follow health guidelines independently without dependence or assistance from anyone.
- Eating training skills: This means the ability to eat using appropriate utensils, and training the child to do so on his own and without assistance.
- Training in organizational and time management skills: This means performing daily activities in an organized manner while managing time effectively through a schedule, while teaching the importance of time.
Occupational therapy works to improve a child's ability to perform life activities at school and home, depending on his individual needs, circumstances, and degree of independence.
